Denver Probate Court to Host Summer Discussion Series

There are numerous intersections between the courts and mental illness in our state.  Some of these intersections are not well know or easily understood, even within the legal community.  Changing laws and restructuring of government policies can add to the complexity.  Denver Probate Court will address these issues this summer in a series of panel discussions dealing specifically with the issues of mental illness and how Colorado courts deal with those issues.

There will be approximately seven classes this summer.  The classes will cover such topics as:

  • Understanding Mental Illness
  • Civil Commitment
  • Medications
  • Addictions
  • Criminal Issues
  • Trends and Developments in Mental Health and the Law

Dates:
May 16th Video Available
June 6th Video Available
