Denver Probate Court Summer Discussion Series:

The Role of Colorado Courts in Addressing Mental Illness Issues -

There are numerous intersections between the courts and mental illness in our state.  Some of these intersections are not well known or easily understood, even within the legal community.  Changing laws and restructuring of government policies can add to the complexity.  During the summer of 2008 the Denver Probate Court hosted a series of panel discussions dealing specifically with the issues of mental illness and how Colorado courts deal with those issues.

  • Understanding Mental Illness
  • Civil Commitments
  • Medications
  • Addictions
  • Criminal Issues
  • Trends and Developments in Mental Health and the Law
